ICM98 Satellite Conference
Representations of finite groups and combinatorics
August 10-14, 1998
Magdeburg, Germany
This was a satellite conference to the ICM98 - International Congress of Mathematicians Berlin 1998 . It took place at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, located about 150 km west of Berlin. The focus of the meeting was on those areas of representation theory of finite groups which have strong connections with combinatorics, the related combinatorics of partitions and tableaux, the theory of symmetric functions, and related areas.
The conference was supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Kultusministerium des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt .
