Morten S Risager

Professor of Mathematics at Department of Mathematical Sciences, MATH. University of Copenhagen. PhD coordinator at MATH.

Research interests
My research interests are in the field of analytic number theory and automorphic forms. The problems I work on are often related to geometric and arithmetic questions on modular surfaces and their generalizations. The techniques I am using are often analytic in nature using the theory of automorphic forms and their L-functions. Many of the questions I investigate arise from the interplay between classical and quantum physical phenomena.
Teaching
I am teaching introduction to mathematics, introduction to number theory, and analytic number theory. I have previously been teaching courses in linear algebra, functional analysis, complex analysis, elliptic curves, modular forms, and automorphic forms.
Mini CV
PhD from University of Aarhus 2003. I have been working at MPI Bonn, IAS Princton, University of Aarhus, University of Copenhagen, Institut Mittag-Leffler.
